Exercise with Oxygen Therapy

After a car accident or a head injury like a concussion, it’s important to help your body heal. One way to do this is through Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT). This means you do light exercises, like riding a stationary bike, while breathing in extra oxygen through a mask. This extra oxygen can help your body in several ways:

1. Helps Your Brain Heal: When you breathe in more oxygen during exercise, it can support your brain’s recovery after a concussion. This might help you think more clearly and feel less tired.

2. Gives You More Energy: EWOT can make you feel more energetic. People often notice they have more energy during the day and sleep better at night after doing this therapy.

3. Helps You Get Better Faster: By improving blood flow and reducing swelling, EWOT can speed up your recovery from injuries. This means you might feel better and return to your normal activities sooner.

4. Improves Your Thinking: EWOT may help you think more clearly and remember things better. This can be especially helpful after a concussion.

5. Stronger Immune System: With more oxygen, your body can fight off sickness better, keeping you healthier.

How EWOT Works:

10 sessions total: twice per week, each session 20-30 minutes.

Exercise with Oxygen Therapy, or EWOT, is when you do simple exercises while breathing air with extra oxygen. This helps your body get more oxygen, which is very important for your health.

Normally, the air we breathe has about 21% oxygen. With EWOT, you breathe air that has much more oxygen, sometimes up to 90% – 95%.
